Situated on the borders of the municipalities of Podgorica, Bar, Cetinje, and the ancient trade center of Rijeka Crnojevića and Virpazar, it truly stands as the epicenter of this region. Additionally, Skadar Lake is conveniently located just 15 kilometers away from Podgorica airport and the sea.
Known as an avian paradise, Skadar Lake serves as an essential migratory point for birds, welcoming over 160 species. Among them are endangered species such as the Dalmatian Pelican and Cormorant, which have recently experienced successful repopulation efforts.
The lake is also renowned for its abundant fish population, providing a thriving habitat for more than 50 different species. Its waters teem with diverse aquatic life, creating a rich and vibrant ecosystem.
